The team behind the Mint Club and Mint Warehouse bring the very first annual Mint Festival to Lotherton Hall, Leeds on Saturday 29th September 2012.
The 10,000 capacity all day festival features four stages inside covered marquees curated by our own respected and well-known club nights System and Flux, Bitch, Black Light, Loco Disco and Jungle Jam vs Bigger than Barry.
The lineup itself boasts a diverse array of the biggest DJs and live acts in electronic music, catering for all tastes, from house and techno right through to mainstream dance.
Jamie Jones;
Jamie Jones is one of the UK's most celebrated producers. Through a number of Eps and albums on Crosstown Rebels, his own Hot Natured/Hot Creations labels and more, he has crafted his own unique brand of baseline heavy house music that takes cues from disco, soul and more. As a Dj he is unstoppable, too, playing everywhere from fabric to the WMC and of course DC: 10, Ibiza, where he hosts his own weekly event, Paradise.
Adam Beyer
Alongside Stockholms Cari Lekebusch, Joel Mull and Jesper Dahlback, Adam Beyer has become synonymous with the techno sound of Sweden, which has quite literally shaken the world since the mid-nineties. From the driving percussive force of his Drumcode label to the more open electronic miasma on his current Truesoul and Mad Eye imprints, Beyer remains one of the biggest and most influential producer/DJs on the planet.
Eddie Halliwell
Testament to his accomplishments throughout a long and successful career is the fact Mixmag recently nominated Eddie Halliwell in its ‘Greatest DJ Of All Time’ poll. Over the years Eddie has excelled in the booth, busying himself constantly whilst forever reading the crowd like few other DJs out there. Not only is he always striving for more, but so too is he a keen proponent of whatever technology will increase the excitement levels for his audience, whilst he has also recorded no less than 8 Essential Mixes for Radio 1, played all over the globe and this summer will host his very own arena at Creamfields. Not one to rest on his laurels, Eddie now runs his own label, FIUR, and has recently started to produce to great applause from fans and media alike. He has also complied an album for the illustrious Toolroom Knights series, thus surely expanding his fan base yet further.
DJ Marky
DJ Marky is undoubtedly one of the most exciting DJs to emerge in the drum & bass world. With his phenomenal technical skills and Brazilian flair, his enthusiasm and dedication and the effort he puts into his sets he has impressed clubbers and music industry alike. At Mint Festival he plays with Stamina, someone with whom he has produced and toured in the past, nd together the pair make quite the tempting headline act for fans of good quality d&b.
